Civitan Foundation’s DTT (Day Treatment and Training) is after school and summer programs for school-aged children and adolescents between 3 and 22 years of age. This program was created to develop social, cognitive and independent living skills, which help them, participate actively in their homes and community. The programs hands-on" learning through recreation, community and education based activities such as field trips to museums, libraries, movie theatres, and parks. Service providers also work with individuals to help them build self-esteem, confidence, social and community safety skills. Needs are assessed individually and training is conducted on-site and through community-based activities. The program staff will assist each individual on a daily basis with: community integration, peer socialization, structured activities, homework completion, and just having FUN!
Children programs are offered year round, 4 hours a day, Monday – Friday, special hours and programs will be available for holidays, and school breaks. Transportation to the program should be provided by the individual's school district. Parents are responsible for transportation home after programs.
Extended program hours may be available upon request.
