A Message from the Executive Director...

Welcome to Civitan Foundation Inc. via our website.  I am very excited to tell you more about our organization, and the many services and supports we offer families, caregivers and clients. After almost 20 years in the Travel and Tourism Industry, I am pleased to be part of a growing and very dedicated team of community whose purpose is to serve others in practical ways.  I first learned about Civitan more than 20 years ago, when I became a member of a local Civitan Club. In 2003, I became the Executive Director and love the challenges and triumphs we make in the lives of our clients and families. Civitan Foundation is growing each and every day, but still continues to keep that “family atmosphere” in all of our programs. Our growth and expansion has been based on what our clients and families need, we grow as the needs grow. We believe that the success of our Foundation is based on the “BIG HEARTS” of our employees and board members, and the passion we have for the people we serve.

Civitan Foundation Inc has changed my life.  I now spend my summers at camp, eating hot dogs, playing kick-ball, roasting marshmallows on the campfire, and most of all experiencing first hand the joy of seeing a child or adult with special needs accomplish something they have never had the opportunity to even try! These past few years have been some of the best years of my life. Now when someone mentions cabin, all I picture is a cabin in the woods, not a cabin on a private yacht or first class cabin on the airplane. Travel planning now means planning exciting and stimulating activities, camp itineraries and events for our clients to attend.  CAMP CIVITAN may not be a world cruise, first class jet travel, or a five-star hotel stay, but our clients still have the best times of their lives - building great friendships, creating lasting memories, and  giving their lives meaning and accomplishment!
